Noah's Ark Preschool is an outreach program of First Presbyterian Church.
We offer a nurturing and loving environment that strives to meet individual needs of students
by fostering academic, social, spiritual, emotional and physical growth. We have classes
for children ages 3 months - K4 with 3 and 5 day classes. Students attend weekly Music and
Spanish classes. Students who graduate from Noah's Ark Preschool are well prepared to enter
Kindergarten, having learned the social skills and educational curriculum needed to succeed.

NOAH'S ARK CHARITY WALK
The annual Noah's Ark Charity Walk was held on Wednesday, April 13th. This year's money was
raised to benefit the family of Caden Hall, the 5 year-old from Greenwood who recently lost
his battle with leukemia. His family has huge medical expenses, and their funds have been
depleted. John & Lori Hall, Caden's parents, walked with the students and faculty, along with
many of our parents and our church staff. Our goal was to raise $1500.00. We are thrilled to
announce that we raised
$3235.00! The Halls were so appreciative, and they said they have
been amazed at the generosity and outpouring of love from our community!
As students were reminded in our Chapel lesson before our Walk, Jesus said the most important
thing is putting others first and ourselves last. I can clearly say our 2011 Charity Walk was
evidence of our Noah's Ark children and their families exemplifying this! What a truly
heart-warming memory all of us made!

Each Wednesday at Noah's Ark, Chapel is held for the two, three and
four year-olds. The four year-olds serve as acolytes, carrying the American flag and Bible to
the altar. A Chapel lesson is presented, ending in prayer that the students repeat.
The children each bring a canned food item to donate to the Greenwood Food Bank as their
offering.
