ABOUT FESTIVA! CELEBRATING GOD'S GIFTS OF THE ARTS . . .
Begun in 2001 as the Sundays@Four Arts Series, FESTIVA is an outreach ministry of First
Presbyterian Church of Greenwood, South Carolina.
The series was begun by Dr. Charles T. (Chuck) Gaines, former Minister of Music, and Rev.
Robert P. Glick, Organist at First Presbyterian Church, to offer cultural arts performances
to the community with no admission charge. The name FESTIVA was adopted to encompass
performances that are not necessarily on Sundays at 4:00.
The series is hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood and funded by private
donations and grants. Donations to FESTIVA are tax deductible and may be made payable to
First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 426, Greenwood, SC 29648.

Seminar with Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace 5:00 P.M.
MATTHEW SMITH is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who writes brand new music to
centuries-old hymn texts. He is a founding member of the Indelible Grace community, whose
work has drawn acclaim across denominational lines and is used in churches around the world.
Born out of a college ministry, the re-imagined hymns have found wide acceptance both among
college students and the church at large, joining people who desire to honor tradition with
those who want a modern musical ap-proach. His latest album, Watch The Rising Day, explores
the tension of living in a bro-ken world while awaiting Christ's return and the restoration
