What is LOGOS?
LOGOS is a mid-week program for grades 1 through 5. It was begun
at First Presbyterian Church in 1992 and has been an active supplement to
the Christian Education program since that time. The program provides an
opportunity to explore one's identity in a Christian environment.
There are four main parts of the LOGOS program They are: Bible Study,
recreation, music, and family dinner time. Each part makes up the whole
as adults and children become friends and are drawn into active participation.
The purposes of the LOGOS program are:
To nurture and understanding and desire in young people to profess Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord;
To develop intelligent, active, and loyal membership and leadership in the
Church;
To give worthwhile study, wholesome recreation and opportunities for service,
all bound up in true Christian fellowship; and
To develop the kind of Christians who are able and willing to communicate
their faith and strive to do God's will in building God's Kingdom in the world.
